Brickery is a crowdfunding platform for building blocks and serves as an all-in-one manufacturer based in Germany 🇩🇪
THE BEGINNING
While emphasizing the creative power of designers who want to be visible with their designs, Brickery also creates a community with designers, building block collectors, and enthusiasts who come together to fund this creativity.
Brickery connects all kinds of building block lovers in different age groups. The enthusiasm for building blocks comes from our childhood and continues as we become adults. Nearly everyone has played with building blocks.
THE STRATEGY
To convey that Brickery manufactures building blocks, we wanted to create the smallest meaningful unit for the Brickery community using a 3D cube image. We created a graphic language that will instantly convey our main message with the icons we designed for each group of the community. A block is the smallest meaningful unit in our communication and it represents the people in each member group of the community.
As 4 different member groups come together, they create a rectangular form, like a brick. A brick is the smallest part of the Brickery community that is needed for the durable structure of the platform. We created our logo system and all of our visual communication materials from blocks and bricks. It is almost like our Branding is the first building block set designed at the Brickery community, and we had so much fun!
We needed an invitation to play, create and spend time together as a community while emphasizing the brand's core values. Our motto, Let’s Brick Together invites both designers, fans, and collectors to build the community by supporting each other.
At the same time, we developed a unique use for the Brickery building block community by creating a new meaning for the verb 'to brick', which is derived from Brickery.
As icons and blocks come together they create one block, the smallest meaningful unit in our communication and the smallest meaningful unit in the community.
As these groups come together and create a community, the Brickery platform will start to build itself from a common passion for building blocks.
