Haliç University is a foundation university established in the Historical Peninsula in Istanbul from which the rich tradition has diffused into its value system over time.
THE STARTING POINT
Recently, Haliç University moved to its new and only campus in 5th Levent, bringing together all its faculties. Now, it has a brand new campus equipped with all the technological and social facilities. Haliç University contacted us for a new brand identity and a new start without losing its values.
It was apparent in the interviews we made with different students from different faculties; Haliç University is a gateway that encourages students to realize their dreams by offering them the opportunities they need.
While creating our logo system, we were inspired by the bridge designed for the Golden Horn by Leonardo Da Vinci, the famous renaissance polymath that has gathered all kinds of faculties from architecture to engineering, from painting to musicianship in himself.
Haliç University also carries its students to the future by building a solid bridge between the rich cultural heritage and the possibilities of the future. With the brand strategy we created, we aimed to reveal all this context and make it visible.
First of all, we created a solid H symbol to be used in the main logos and faculty logos. We developed a modern and innovative world of icons for our logo system. We integrated the icons representing the journey from the rich heritage of Turkish civilizations to the information age, to our main logo set of 3.
We aimed to create a university culture and strengthen the sense of belonging by creating a separate logo and icon for each faculty.
Our slogan, ‘’Dreams Courage Future’’, illuminates our bridge context by highlighting the function of a university: encouraging students by being the bridge between their dreams and the future. With our new brand strategy, we present a striking example of how to create a university culture. Haliç University is ready for the new academic year with its distinctive brand system.
