Is yellow the new 'green'? Meet REUNIK, where the grass is greener (well, more of a yellow in this case) and every fashion choice you make contributes to a better future for our planet. REUNIK manufactures eyewear using 100% recycled materials sourced from the waste of the eyewear industry. It’s as simple as that.
REUNIK approached us with this idea in mind, and from there on, we created a one-of-a-kind, unique language for the brand. A distinctive logo, local icons, a tailor-made color palette, and a striking verbal language come together to shape an audacious, vibrant, and Istanbulite brand identity. The result is a brand that is local, effortlessly cool, and imperfectly perfect, that’s 100% REUNIK.
REUNIK: AN ECOLOGICAL UTOPIA
THE BEGINNING
The name has purpose: “Re” means to do again, repeat, or recreate. “Unik” stands for unique, one of a kind, unmatched.
Together, they form REUNIK—where heritage converges with a future-oriented approach. Every material used in the production process is carefully selected with planet-conscious choices. The result? A rediscovery of uniqueness in every product through an innovative manufacturing process.
THE PROCESS
Early on, we worked closely with REUNIK’s co-founders to establish the brand’s core values. REUNIK is a proud Istanbulite—planet-friendly, forward-thinking, and bold eyewear company. It needed to evolve into a sunglasses brand known not just for its eco-friendly practices but also for the lifestyle it embodies.
We developed a distinctive logotype that captures REUNIK’s daring spirit. A quirky, custom display type spells out the brand name using playfully rounded letterforms—simple yet full of personality, with unique quirks such as an upside-down 'i'. The logotype is both contemporary and timeless, positioning REUNIK as a bridge between style and sustainability.
To further reflect the brand’s core values, we used art direction as a pivotal tool to shape its tone of voice. Istanbul is not just a backdrop in REUNIK’s imagery—it’s a main character. Carefully captured photos and clips assemble the city’s unmatched energy and rich heritage, mirroring the vibrancy of REUNIK eyewear.
The brand identity comes to life through its purposeful use of typography. We paired the bold, slab-serif display typeface Snapshot with the more grounded sans-serif TT Interphases Pro. This typographic duo plays a fundamental role in communicating the brand’s unique language and approach.
We also crafted a vibrant, distinctive color palette to complement both the multicultural essence of Istanbul and the striking color variations of REUNIK’s glasses. The palette is lively and cohesive—just like the streets of Istanbul—and underscores REUNIK’s dynamic identity.
For the icons, we chose Istanbul’s beloved mascots—cats and seagulls. These simple yet meaningful visual elements serve as playful and culturally relevant brand carriers, reinforcing REUNIK’s local roots with charm.
THE RESULT
In the end, we created a brand identity that successfully captures the complexity and vibrancy of Istanbul while embracing a sustainable, future-oriented manufacturing approach. The result is a brand that is local, effortlessly cool, and imperfectly perfect, that's 100% REUNIK.

As we set out to build our brand philosophy on concepts like sustainability, design activism, ecological design, slow fashion, and the local economy, we sought an agency with knowledge and experience in these areas – and that’s precisely when we crossed paths with Ba’ndo.
