PURPOSE OF THE ALBUM
The Tao which represents the energy in motion and the order in the universe is accompanied by an inspiring system: The Five Elements defined as “Wuxing” in Chinese.
Every substance in the universe is in an order that includes The Five Elements, and the essence of all beings of the cosmos is under the influence of the cycle of elements, positive or negative. This that has been guiding people for centuries also sheds light on the latest album of Tolerance Break.
IN BRIEF
Tolerance Break, who defines music as “wandering around sounds”, used the principles of Taoism as a method of expression and creation in their album called “Wuxing”. As Ba’ndo, we aimed to create an impact with an exceptional album cover suitable with the style of Tolerance Break, a group that brings electronic sounds together using the sound samples they have recorded with their instruments in the universe they live in.
We designed round forms representing this teaching and the universe itself to convey an intense sense of Taoism to the album cover. Color symbolization of the elements formed the main color of the round form we designed.
The animatic movements of the circles around the center are designed in a way so that they accompany the rhythm of each song.
The animations are also created by using the data gathered from the meditative musical rhytm of the songs.
